How can I create an Upwork invoice?
If you are a freelancer and do business through a platform such as Upwork, there are a few things you should pay attention to when creating an invoice:
- The client is Upwork – since Upwork is the one paying the money, not the end client.
- The amount – should be the one charged to the client, regardless of the commission Upwork takes, as it is considered your cost. The same applies if the payment is received through a Payoneer account.
- Place of turnover – it will be the client's location (Mountain View), since you are providing a digital service abroad
If you have several projects with different clients, you can create a single consolidated invoice for that one incoming payment. On it you will list all jobs, that is, the services that were provided.
